    History

    Saket Court Complex started functioning with effect from Saturday, the 28th August 2010. The work of Civil and Criminal cases relating to South District and South-East District hitherto being taken up at Patiala House Courts Complex are taken up at Saket Court Complex.

    Saket Court Complex was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Justice of India, Hon’ble Mr. Justice S.H. Kapadia on 28 August 2010.

    Total area of Saket Court complex is 16.592 Acres which is furhter divided into Court Complex and Residential Complex as given hereunder:-.

    1. 12.592 Acres is Court Complex
    2. 4.000 Acres is Residential Complex

    Saket Courts Complex has three Blocks where total 128 Court rooms and various Administrative Branches are available as given hereunder:-

    1. Main Building has 82 nos. of Court Rooms and is divided into three wings i.e. North Wing, South Wing and East Wing.
      1. Courts of Principal District & Sessions Judge – 02 Court rooms at 3rd & 5th floor,Central Hall.
      2. North Wing has 30 Court Rooms.
      3. South Wing has 30 Court Rooms.
      4. East Wing has 20 Court Rooms.
    2. Block-I and Block-II, New Court Building has total 46 nos. of Court Rooms with 23 Court Rooms in each Block which became operational on 15-09-2022.

    Administrative Branches of South District and South-East District are located in the East Wing of the Main court Building as given hereunder:-

    1. Copying Agency is at Ground floor
    2. Prosecution Branch is at 1st and 2nd floor
    3. Nazarat Branch and Stationary Branch are at 2nd floor
    4. Computer Branch, Record Room, South and Digitization Section are at 3rd floor
    5. Administration Branch, Judicial Branch, RTI Cell, Vigilance Branch and other Branches of South and South-East District are at 3rd floor
    6. Record Room, Sessions, Civil and Criminal South-East District at at 7th floor

    At the entrance of the Main Court Building e-seva Kendra and Facilitation Center are located which caters to the general queries of Lawyers and Litigants. Touch Screen e-kiosk which is connected with the local intranet i.e. CIS Software is also installed near Facilitation Center through which Lawyers and Litigants can search case details by entering case particulars.

    Entire Building is disabled friendly having facility of ramps & washrooms on each floor and Wheel Chair available on demand.

    In the Main Court Building two basement parking which is under CCTV surveilance are available.

    To the left of North Wing of Main Court Building, there is Lawyers Block, where Lawyers Chambers are located. Bar Office, e-filing counter for Hon’ble High Court of Delhi and Post Office are also available at ground floor of Lawyers Block

    There is a separate Utility Block, where Mediation Center and office of DLSA of South District and South-East District are located. State Bank of India Branch with ATM and Delhi Govt.Dispensary are also available at Utility Block.

    Separate Judicial Lockup with basic amenities and infrastructure which was inaugurated on 05.09.2018 is available.
